March 8, 2012/Toronto - Immigrant and refugee women have little to look forward to on International Women`s Day this year according to the report “State of Immigrant and Refugee Women`s Status in Canada – 2012”.
The Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI) will have a strong presence at the 14th National Metropolis Conference, to be held in Toronto on February 29 – March 3, 2012.
The Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI) congratulates Charles Sousa (MPP - Mississauga South) on his appointment as Minister of Citizenship and Immigration (MCI).
OCASI wrote to the new Minister to highlight priorities and concerns for Ontario's immigrant and refugee serving sector.

This is an investment in new Canadians that will benefit all Ontarians, since improving their integration in the labour market will serve to strengthen Ontario's economy.
