This is the future home of the OCASI Community of Practice: Sharing and Creating Knowledge on Woman Abuse in the Settlement Sector.

Community of Practice Goals:

• Share professional information and experience with others working across Ontario so new learning can be created.

• Gain support from other service providers (e.g. solicit input from others regarding challenging cases while maintaining confidentiality).

• Share and gain practical tools to assist service providers in their work with communities.  

• Share and gain information about local resources and events.

• Share advocacy strategies for addressing violence against women, with a specific focus on violence against immigrant and refugee women.

• Share experiences through a framework of implementing and creating 'best practices'.

• Create a sense of community for settlement sector as well as other professionals through networking.

• Promote continued learning from OCASI woman abuse-related trainings (in-person and/or online).
