OTIS - Online Tracking and Information System

Online Tracking and Information System (OTIS) is a data entry website where some mobile settlement workers enter in their client statistics for each month. The first OTIS users were the Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS). Settlement Workers in Libraries from the Library Settlement Partnerships (LSP) program were the next group to submit their stats using OTIS. And we have recently added the Settlement Workers in LINC (SSIL) project. OTIS is funded by Citizenship an Immigration Canada (CIC).

OCASI’s role has been to support the workers in using OTIS with online, phone support, in-person training and creation of user guides. Additionally, we work with the users and CIC to make any changes and improvements to the OTIS interface when they are needed.

In addition to creating a real time reporting system, we have delivered hundreds of in person training sessions, developed several web-based help videos and provided online webinars.

The system went live for users late in 2010. OTIS 2.0 was adopted as part of the everyday processes of all staff, managers and stakeholders. Some development still needs to be done and we are collecting a new list of feature requests that may be added in 2012- 2013.
