OCASI provides training and professional development activities geared to the needs of staff, board and volunteers of member agencies and other immigrant-serving organizations.
One component of OCASI's training and professional development program is the OCASI Annual Professional Development Conference that brings together over 300 participants from across Ontario.
The Council's objectives in this area are to enhance the professional competency and skills of immigrant service workers and volunteers and to facilitate networking and information-sharing of innovative approaches and expertise.
OCASI also strives to create consultation, discussion and consensus-building forums around issues related to the immigrant-serving sector.
